Belgium & Denmark: Award to Carlsberg Elephant Beer

Danish brewing giant Carlsberg has received the prestigious Superior Taste Award 2006 by the international Taste & Quality Institute in Brussels for its Elephant Beer with 3 stars, the company released May 26.

Carlsberg Elephant is premium quality pilsner beer with a 7.2% ABV content. The colour is light golden amber and the foam white as the tip of the waves of the oceans. The ample use of malt gives the Elephant a vinous and rich character. The high addition of hops in Elephant gives a masculine bitter bite to the beer.

Taste & Quality Institute in Brussels is an independent Chef- and Sommelier-based organization dedicated to judging and honouring superior tasting food and beverages.
